Welcome to our online resources collection. As the saying goes "A picture paints a thousand words" and a short animation can say even more. Therefore some of our pages and resources a designed to help illustrate a very specific, narrow point so that you can link to it from your own resources. Other pages are a longer read and this is where the majority of the content is either VFS Intellectual Property or where we haven't found a suitable online summary, and have thus written our own.
Who's this site for?
Well, firstly, it's free, so it's for everyone. But who's the target audience? Well...
These resources aren't aimed at experts, except maybe as a helpful memory jogger or as a resource to share with someone else to help them learn. They are more for the curious minded, for the relatively inexperienced person who wants to refer back to an easily digestible document, or to help someone move from unknown-unknowns to known-unknowns, and as a result can then search the internet for terms that they were previously unaware of in one's pursuit of knowledge.
However, we do aim to add a little novel insight or thought provoking points that a more experienced practitioner may find invaluable.
How do I use it?
For ubiquitous topics we don't typically introduce them from scratch, we assume you either know the topic or can easily search online to get familiar with it. We offer a slightly different perspective to help people consider how to adopt the idea for themselves.
All the pages can be treated as perma-links with no plans for changing the urls. There are over 100 pages of content, growing and being enhanced each week.
Whilst we have gathered resources together into the groups below, this site should just be considered as a collection of loosely related topics linked together in a knowledge network similar to Wikipedia. Each page contains links to other pages.
