This is the VFS ' Trust - Transparency ' Loop. High trust workplaces have been proven time and time again to achieve greater levels of success. Trust is often considered part of the Culture or the Values of a company, but, just like so many other aspects of what constitutes a Company Culture, is seldom seen as something that requires strategic planning and execution to improve. Building trust requires a considered and structured approach.
Transparency makes something both visible and comprehensible. Increasing visibility is great, but increasing transparency is even better.
"I can see it and I understand it."
In short, if you are transparent, you will build trust. And if you want transparency from others, you must be trustworthy with the insights you will get from the increased transparency regardless of your position, role or level of authority.
