The Double Diamond Model
Often referred to as 'Design Thinking' or 'The Design Process Model', the Double Diamond model summarises the use of Divergent Thinking and Convergent Thinking over time to creatively solve a problem...well actually to help define the right problem to solve and then solve it. Convergent thinking includes making decisions and narrowing down options.
Building on the prior work of Hungarian-American linguist Béla H. Bánáthy's "divergence-convergence model" proposed in 1996, the Double Diamond model was popularised by the British Design Council in 2005.
